Visit Old Delhi to visit the 17th century Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. See Chandni Chowk, the shopping center of old Delhi and drive past the Red Fort for a photo stop. Visit Raj Ghat where Gandhi Ji was cremated.
New Delhi is built in a typically British colonial style with tree-lined avenues and colonial bungalows. See India Gate, the 42 m high War Memorial Arch. Drive past the Parliament House, the Secretariat buildings and the Vice Regal Palace, now the official residence of the President of India. You will also visit Qutab Minar – what was intended to be the most glorious tower of victory in the world and was to be the prototype of all minars in India. Humayun’s tomb: Located in the eastern part of Dehli, Humayun’s tomb is one of the best preserved Mughal monuments. This spellbinding mausoleum is the first example of Mughal architecture in India. A century after its construction, Humayun’s tomb inspired the construction of the more famous Taj Mahal.

Drive to Jaipur (250 km/approximately 5 hours). Overnight in your hotel in the Aravalli Range. Famously known as the “Pink City”, Jaipur’s nickname was coined in 1876 when a visit by the Prince of Wales prompted the government to paint the Old City terracotta pink, traditionally the colour of hospitality, to welcome the Royal Prince. Jaipur was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, a soldier, ruler, and scholar in mathematics and astronomy, after whom the city has been named. Visit the ancient Rajput capital of Amber, 11 km from the city. See the Diwan I Am or hall of public audience, Kali temple, Jai Mandir or hall of victory with its inlaid panels and mirror ceiling, and Sukh Niwas. Amber Fort
Amber Fort, officially known as the ‘Amer Palace’, is one of the most famous forts of Rajasthan attracting around 4000 to 5000 visitors a day during peak tourist season. The palace was named after the small town of Amer, where it is situated - only eleven kilometres from Jaipur. Perfectly picturesque, this 16th century hillside residence is well preserved, boasting grand pavilions and mirrored halls that open onto flourishing gardens and courtyards. Although the palace’s main construction started in 1592 by Maharaja Man Singh, it was added to over the years by successive rulers and continued to be occupied by them until Jaipur was built.
Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds)
One of Jaipur’s most recognised buildings, the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) is known for its iconic façade. Small windows, decorated with intricate latticework create a honeycomb-like appearance. The original intention of the lattice was to allow the royal ladies to observe everyday life in the street below without being seen. The cooling effect, provided by the breeze passing through the small windows, gave the palace its name. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the unique construction was originally designed to look like the crown of Krishna. A panoramic view of Jaipur can be had from the top of the building.
Day 5: Jaipur – Ranthambore National Park ( 180 KMS/ 4 HRS)
Arrive and check in at your hotel. After lunch, enjoy a jungle safari. The park is one of the finest tiger reserves in the country where visitors spending a couple of nights are likely to spot one of these majestic animals. Once a private tiger reserve of the Maharaja of Jaipur, in 1972 the sanctuary came under the Project Tiger scheme. It covers 410 sq km and runs from the easternmost spur of the Aravallis to the Vindhya Range. Apart from tigers it is possible to see herds of Chital and Sambar deer and hear sounds of wild boar, Nilgai antelope and chinkara gazelles. There are also sloth bear, a few leopards and crocodiles. Extensive bird life includes spur fowl, jungle fowl, partridges, quails, crested serpent eagles, woodpeckers, flycatchers etc. There are also water birds like storks, ducks and geese at the lakes and waterholes. Passing through beautiful lakes, snaking river streams, lush grasslands and verdant bushes of this natural reserve, you might just get lucky with spotting a tiger. Day 7: RANTHAMBORE - AGRA (280 KMS - 6 HRS)
On our way to Agra, we stop at Fatehpur Sikri. The magnificent fortified ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 as his capital and abandoned 15 years later, allegedly due to a severe scarcity of water. You will visit the graceful buildings within such as the Jami Masjid, the tomb of Salim Chisti, the Panch Mahal, Diwan I Khas and other palaces. It is a place where Islamic architecture fuses with Hindu and Jain decorative art.

Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah is a Mughal mausoleum built for the grandfather of the Mumtaz Mahal, who the Taj Mahal was in turn built for. the tomb colloquially known as the "jewel box", or the "Baby Taj".
